Quest Sports Center comes to expanding Mallory Park

By EMILY KUBIS Published: August 20, 2013

Brentwood’s Mallory

Park area continues to expand, and morebusiness are calling the space home, including a new fitness and training center that hopes to be a “one-stop shop” for sports and performance training.

Quest Sports Center is co-founded and owned by Holly and Dave Merrell. The company opened the new facility last month after it outgrew its McEwen Drive location. They wanted to house their sports training, performance training and general fitness facilities all in one place.

“We wanted to expand our facility to better accommodate our clients, and offer things that were both sports specific and performance training under one roof,” Holly said.

The center features classes and training for athletes and

individuals who want to improve their fitness. There are currently 200 members.

Quest is now in a facility with 31,000 square feet, enough for a basketball court, two volleyball courts, an indoor turf field and weight rooms.

The performance and sports training programs are for middle school, high school and professional athletes.

“We try to individualize these programs,” Holly said. “They incorporate strength and movement and balance, and all these things that are the intangibles of sports.”

The center also has programs for non-athletes, the newest called “Transform,” a 16-week fitness regimen for women before the holidays.

This fall, the Mallory Park facility will open an outdo

or section with a field, sandpit and training hill.

“The location still has a lot of trees and character, and that’s hard to find sometimes, especially in an area like Cool Springs,” Holly said.

Also recently opened in the Mallory Park area is the new Porsche of Nashville dealership. New Audi and Mini dealerships are coming soon.
